Please note that in order to keep our tariff low, we do not accept credit or debit cards. We are happy to accept payment for deposits and the balance of your holiday by cheque with a cheque guarantee card, or cash. Alternatively, if you wish to pay your deposit or balance by BACS transfer, please contact us for the necessary bank account details.

We will ask you to confirm your reservation by requesting a 25% deposit. Once we have received your deposit we will confirm your booking either in writing or by e-mail. The balance of your holiday is normally payable on arrival at West Down.
Guests are asked to depart by 10:30. Rooms will be available for occupancy from 3:30 unless prior arraangements have been made.
As you will appreciate, when you confirm your holiday with us at West Down Guest House by letter, e-mail or verbally over the telephone, you are entering into a legally binding contract. If you have to cancel or cut short your holiday for any reason, then you are liable for any cancellation charges we may have to make to cover our loss of business. This would normally be the full booking price of your holiday less a reasonable deduction for the cost of food and staff wages not incurred. The industry accepted norm for this deduction is one third of the holiday price.
If you have to cancel your holiday we will try to re-let it on your behalf. If we are successful then we will refund any deposit paid less a charge for administration expenses incurred. If we are unable to re-let your holiday dates then you will be charged a cancellation fee as defined above, less any deposit already paid. When you confirm your booking with us at West Down Guest House you are deemed to have accepted the above booking terms and conditions.
We therefore suggest that you cover yourself by taking out Holiday Cancellation Booking Insurance to safeguard the costs of your holiday should you have to cancel or curtail your holiday for any reason.
