Do come along and enjoy this fun-packed day out in support of the North Devon Hospice.
There will be seafood kitchens and a range of food and art & craft stalls on the quay with lively music, street entertainment, crafty creations, sea storytelling, puppet shows and family activities. Free entry for under 16s if they come dressed as a pirate, mermaid, salty sea dog or fish wife. Under 7s have free entry anyway, but we would love it if they come dressed up too.
Lynmouth Raft Race
Lynmouth Raft Race is a great fun day out for all the family, as both spectators and competitors get involved in this riotous event. Before taking to the water, the rafts form a procession where spectators can view their creativity and engineering skills close up. Then flour bombs and buckets of water are thrown as competitors in varying designs of rafts – some built for speed and some for fancy dress – take to the seas and race to the buoy and back. Capsizing is not uncommon and some rafts do not make it at all. However, a fantastic atmosphere, lots of laughter and a good time are guaranteed.
