Spring Day at RHS Rosemoor

A beautiful hour out this afternoon to RHS Garden Rosemoor which is an easy ten minute drive down the road.

These gardens are highly recommended to guests to West Down for any season due to the tremendous range of shrubs and plants.

There is always something to see and marvel at whatever the season.

St. George's Day & Grandma's Birthday

St George's Day cake & Grandma's Birthday

Happy Birthday Nan/Grandma for St George's Day - hope you like the cake I made you.

Nice to see the sunshine at last at West Down !!

Lovely morning so Roger and I went down to Honiton to pick up over a thousand plug plants - fuchsias, geraniums, begonias and some new more exotic additions.
This means lots of work now for Roger to plant them up in the green house to bring them on for another stunning display throughout the late spring, summer and autumn.

We will be posting pictures from the garden showing Roger's hard work during the spring.

We have listed our current late availability  and seasonal special offers on the site.

Hope you will be able to join us in the coming months to see Roger's handywork.

Fresh Meringues at West Down Guest House

lovely fresh meringues

Matt and Chloe have been cooking for their Gran's guest's today, Matt has his first attempt at meringues and Chloe made Bread & Butter pudding.

All but one meringue went and all the bread and butter pudding went.

One of the ladies made comment best meringue she had eaten perfect and crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.

Well done Matthew Latham !!
